Want Free Textbooks for the Next Academic Year?

If you can write an essay, you could be one of 18 UCF students to get free required textbooks (up to a $750 value) for the next academic year.

Write a 250-word essay entitled “If I were a book my title would be…” and you could get FREE required textbooks (up to a $750 value) for the Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semesters.

Winners will be selected by the UCF Bookstore Advisory Committee and will be notified via telephone/email.

Due to the high volume of applications, only selected recipients will be notified.

The submission deadline for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 is Saturday, March 28th, 2026. Entries received after the deadline will not be considered for review.

Recipients are asked to submit their course schedules. All required books listed for courses on the student’s schedules are provided free of charge.
